Scott Tackett

Nearly twenty years in vertical transportation — installer, field adjuster, national trainer, and subject matter expert on a manufacturer’s product development team.

In one line

Scott Tackett designed and taught KONE’s only dedicated Field Adjuster Training Program in North America, training elevator technicians in all fifty states, before founding LifTech Elevator Solutions in Naples, Florida.

From installer to the person who trained the trainers

Most elevator companies will tell you their technicians are experienced. Scott built the program that made them experienced.

Career

Twenty years, step by step

Pick any point to see what he was doing and what it means for your building.

Installation, then field adjusting

Began his elevator career at KONE installing equipment, then moved into field adjusting across the Naples and Miami markets — the discipline of making an elevator run correctly rather than merely run.

LifTech elevator work

Selected by KONE leadership

Chosen by KONE’s North American leadership to design, develop and teach the company’s only dedicated Field Adjuster Training Program in North America, covering advanced adjustment, troubleshooting and field wiring. He trained technicians in every state in the country.

LifTech elevator work

Subject matter expert

Brought onto the development of the Mono300 elevator, where he helped redesign components and installation methods — the unit was ultimately built with roughly 67% less labor than originally projected. He also contributed to the field assembly manual used to guide technicians through installation.

LifTech elevator work

Back to the field

Returned to hands-on work across installation, adjustment, modernization and service — keeping his hands on equipment rather than staying in a corporate training role.

LifTech elevator work

Owner and operator

Years inside large corporate and union elevator organisations showed him a pattern: buildings paying premium prices while receiving less service, communication and accountability than they were owed. LifTech was built to be the opposite of that.

Philosophy

“Diagnose the problem, fix what needs to be fixed, maintain the equipment properly, communicate with the customer, and stand behind the work.”

No corporate bureaucracy. No unnecessary upgrades. No excuses. Just experienced elevator people taking care of elevators the way they should be taken care of.

LifTech was built around experienced technicians, direct communication, transparency and accountability — and around actually maintaining equipment rather than collecting a monthly maintenance cheque.

Nobody should have to fight their elevator contractor to get the service they’re already paying for. That belief is why the contract review and the second opinion are free, and why we expect to be compared.
