Why does airport elevator equipment fail more often?
Short answer
Duty cycle. Public transit equipment can run several times the daily cycles of a residential unit, which compresses the wear life of door equipment, fixtures and drives. Maintenance intervals written for ordinary commercial use are simply too far apart.
What matters in these buildings
Cycle counts drive everything
Maintenance frequency here is set by usage, not by a calendar.
Accessibility exposure
Public facilities carry ADA obligations that make an extended outage a legal matter as well as an operational one.
Work around operations
Night and low-traffic scheduling, because closing a public circulation route is not an option.
What makes us different
We bring every trade. You coordinate nobody.
Most elevator contractors bid the elevator and leave you to find an electrician, a fire
alarm company and an HVAC contractor — then coordinate all of them around a schedule
you did not write. That is how a modernization turns into a second job for a property
manager.
LifTech bids the whole thing. Every sub-trade is in our scope, on our schedule, under our
supervision. You get one contract, one point of contact and one company accountable for the
finished result.
